Elon is among more than 70 colleges and universities recognized on a special "Green Colleges" Web site created by the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU). The site details initiatives on campuses that promote environmental sustainability.

After nearly a decade as a law librarian for public services at Fordham University’s law school, Kathleen McLeod comes to Elon with a teaching background in advanced legal research, having also served there as an adjunct professor.

Lee Bush, assistant professor of communications, wrote an article on conversational marketing for the online publications of the Public Relations Society of America. The article, titled "Conversational marketing - engaging the networked community in a dialogue with your brand," argues that old models of communications are still pervasive.

Registration for first-year Elon Law students begins Aug. 7, with orientation activities beginning on Friday, Aug. 8.
