The Sports Broadcasting class in the School of Communications covered the Elon Phoenix home volleyball match against the University of North Carolina Greensboro Oct. 8. The event was seen live on ElonPhoenix.com via uStream, and it will be rebroadcast on Channel 14 on campus during the next week.

Three Elon University alumni received their 2009 national winner Mark of Excellence Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists at a luncheon at the organization's national convention Oct. 4 at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
