Salisbury Post: A victory for openness

From the Salisbury Post (7/18/10): The North Carolina Legislature made laudable headway in open government law as it closed out its annual session last week. The progress was not all it should have been, to be sure, but by North Carolina's mostly cloudy standards, it was a rare win for sunshine.

Like so many other interns, Christina Cooper will never receive a paycheck for the work she's doing at Trone Inc., an advertising firm in Greensboro, N.C. And like so many other interns, she won't complain. She'll work long hours. She'll put in maximum effort. She'll continually ask for more to do.
