Amoruso and Gupta rank top NC public companies for Business North Carolina

Anthony Amoruso, assistant accounting professor, and Neeraj Gupta, assistant finance professor in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, compiled a list of the top 75 public companies in North Carolina by market capitalization for a feature article in the August 2010 edition of Business North Carolina.
September 13–Beta Alpha Psi sponsoring Meet and Greet

The Elon chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is hosting a Meet and Greet on Monday, September 13 from 6 to 8 p.m in McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center. The Meet and Greet brings together accounting and finance students and accounting firms to network in a professional and social setting. The annual event is organized by members of Beta Alpha Psi, the international honorary organization for financial professionals. Representatives from firms including KPMG, RSM McGladrey, Credit Suisse and IBM will be on hand to talk to students about internship and job opportunities.

Sarah Thomas named Director of Undergraduate Programs in Love School of Business

Sarah Thomas has been named Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Love School of Business. Sarah graduated from Elon in 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in education and received her MBA from Elon in 2009. She previously worked in the Admissions office, and most recently served as Director of Community Relations and Special Events in the Athletics department.
Beta Alpha Psi Chapter and Students Recognized at National Event

Members of the Elon Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, a national honorary organization for students in accounting, finance, and information systems, recently participated in the organization’s annual meeting, held August 5-7 in San Jose, California. The Elon Chapter was recognized as a Superior Chapter. Elon was also one of the host chapters for the event.
