Charlie Remy ’07, a double major in Spanish and Women’s and Gender Studies while at Elon, will be a guest on a live Boston radio call-in program Sunday night when he talks about his experience with Asperger’s syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism.

Elon entrepreneurship students attend networking event

Entrepreneurship students participated Oct. 29 in The Indus Entrepreneurs of Carolina’s (TiE) networking event at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. The students networked with approximately 60 high growth and technology entrepreneurs as part of their Entrepreneurship Skills course taught by Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Hometown Heroes honored in annual ceremony

Four people who make a difference in the lives of others were honored Monday by Elon University in the 16th annual “Hometown Heroes” awards ceremony on campus. Freshmen class officers selected the honorees for “making a positive difference by touching lives and strengthening their home communities” in a program sponsored by the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.
Clyde Ellis, Yoram Lubling awarded Senior Faculty Research Fellowships

Elon University professors Clyde Ellis and Yoram Lubling have been selected as Senior Faculty Research Fellows for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 academic years. A recommendation from the Presidential Task Force on Scholarship, the competitive program was estabalished to support senior faculty in their ongoing scholarly work.
Kiplinger’s names Elon a 2009-10 “Best Value”

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine has ranked Elon among the nation’s top 50 best values in private higher education and the #2 university in total costs, a distinction published in the magazine’s December edition. The 2009-10 ranking is the fourth consecutive top-50 placement of Elon by Kiplinger’s.
