Major gift officers join Elon staff

Elon eliminated by Georgia Tech in NCAA baseball tourney

One bad inning led to the end of the 2009 Elon Phoenix baseball season as the 13th-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets scored seven second inning runs on their way to an 8-4 victory in an elimination game of the Atlanta Regional on Sunday afternoon. Elon ends its season with a 41-18 record while Tech improved to 37-18-1.

ESTV’s ‘Win Stuff’ wins national honors

Win Stuff, Elon University's pop-culture game show, has won two Communicator Awards from a pool of more than 7,000 entries. The most recent Awards of Distinction from the organization are the show's third and fourth in the past two seasons.

Employees honored at Staff Appreciation Day

Three staff members were honored May 29 in McCrary Theatre during Elon's annual Staff Appreciation Day. Ray Pruitt Jr. was named Physical Plant Staff Member of the Year, Barbara Walsh was named Office Staff Member of the Year and Michael Williams was named Administrative Staff Member of the Year.

Powell building offices relocate for summer
