Tripp York, an instructor of religious studies at Elon, explores the lives of Christian anarchists who attempted to address materialism, racism and militarism in Living on Hope While Living in Babylon: The Christian Anarchists of the 20th Century, published this month by Wipf & Stock and York’s third book since 2007.

Cynthia Fair co-authors article for Journal of HIV/AIDS Prevention in Children and Youth

Cynthia Fair, an associate professor of human services, has published an article in the Journal of HIV/AIDS Prevention in Children and Youth. "'I don’t want to sit by you:' A Preliminary Study of Stories and Consequences of Stigma and Discrimination from HIV-positive Mothers and their Children” included interviews with HIV-positive women and their uninfected children about experiences of stigma and discrimination.

Elon Academy announces third class of scholars

Elon senior receives selective national fellowship

Elon University senior Kelly Erin McCarty has been named the recipient of a DACOR Bacon House Foundation fellowship for graduate study in international affairs, an award of up to $10,000 that will assist her this fall as she begins work toward a graduate degree related to human rights and social justice.

But the lead character in a play written by Jean Rohr in the School of Education shows that many factors influence student performance – and the first staged reading of her work, “Valued Voices,” met with praise Wednesday night in Whitley Auditorium.
