English professor receives dissertation award

An Elon faculty member was honored this fall for her research on the
way writers at marketing communication agencies draw on personal
knowledge to write effectively, even if they at first know little about their clients' corporate practices.
DPT candidates attend Dec. 9 graduation

Thirty-three candidates in the university’s DPT program received
their degrees on Dec. 9, 2007, in a ceremony featuring remarks from
Elon President Leo M. Lambert and an address from Steven L. Wolf, a
professor and director of research at Emory University’s Department of
Rehabilitation Medicine.
Second vigil scheduled for missing alumnus

A candlelight service and moment of silence will take place on campus Dec. 9 as part of a national push to keep missing Elon alumnus Kyle Fleischmann in the forefront of public consciousness. The services take place one month to the day after Fleischmann vanished in Charlotte, N.C.

Four students from a senior seminar class have written and
self-published a children’s book titled “The Consequences.” Meredith
Long, Kris Moody, Sara Pollock and Calley Grace, students in the School
of Communications, worked on several drafts of the book over the fall
semester.
