Members of the world-renowned dance company Urban Bush Women provided inspiring workshops for performing arts students during the spring 2024 semester.

Research into the impact of a virtual dance and exercise program on people with Parkinson’s Disease was presented by team members from the Department of Physical Therapy Education and Performing Arts

The conference, held Oct. 4, at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., was attended by 15 from Elon.

Allison Dyke (B.F.A '17) + The Pink Electric will present "Trespassing," a split evening of dance with AnA Collaborations at The Tank in New York City July 30 and 31.

Marissa Mahoney, a sophomore B.F.A. in dance performance & choreography major, presented her original choreography at a national conference where it was adjudicated and selected for the gala concert.

The film, “The Nature of Consciousness,” was an official selection of the Women’s Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles and earned the top award in the experimental category.

The renowned dance company performs work by choreographers such as Crystal Pite, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Alexander Ekman, Johan Inger, Marco Goecke, Medhi Walerski, Hofesh Shechter, Sol León and Artistic Director Paul Lightfoot.

A member of the Class of 2012, Serafini teaches at Bates Middle School in Ellicott City, Maryland.
