Elon’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Physician Assistant Studies program welcomed new classes of students following a highly selective admissions process. The three-year, full-time DPT Program enrolled 48 students while the 24-month, full-time PA Program enrolled 38 students.

Fourteen first and second year physician assistant students, four faculty members and an alumna participated in events at the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) National Conference, held May 16-20, 2017 in Las Vegas.

 

Thanks to a partnership with El Centro de Español that empowers students to communicate in Spanish with patients, Carleigh High DPT'17 is spending several weeks at a hospital in Peru as part of her DPT clinical education experiences

The assistant professor of Physical Therapy Education's presentation was called "Effects of Different Perturbation Levels During Fall Risk Assessment for Older Adults at Higher Fall Risk."
