The awards are the highest accolades conferred by the Office of Alumni Engagement and have been presented annually to alumni and friends of Elon since 1941.

Amanda Ketner ’11, a math teacher at Woods Charter School in Chapel Hill, N.C., visited campus Oct. 2 with several students to hear husband-and-wife Pulitzer Prize-winners Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, whose book inspired her to create a chapter of Girls Learn International at the school.

Jamie Sclater ’02, who is representing the U.S. Marine Corps, has won several gold and silver medals in his division for swimming at the 2014 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs.

Daniel J. Watts ’04 returned to Elon this week to work with students on a spoken word performance piece, “As We Journey From Mind to Mouth…,” which premieres this weekend in Yeagar Recital Hall.

Alumni are invited to join the Phoenix Football team on the road this season as they travel to take on new Colonial Athletic Association opponents.
