D.C. Alumni Chapter holds first charity golf tournament

Alumni, parents and friends of Elon joined coaches Pete Lembo and Matt Matheny for a day on the links at the Washington, D.C., Alumni Chapter's first charity golf tournament. Held Friday, June 11, at 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, Va., the event included a round at Northern Virginia's newest golf course and dinner for the more than 60 attendees.
Alums’ short film makes finals of national contest

A short film directed by Brian Stansfield ’06 and co-produced by Kyle Drexler '07 was named a finalist in a national short film contest sponsored by Canon U.S.A.

Multicultural Center welcomes new assistant directors for 2010-11 academic year

Leon Williams, director of the Multicultural Center, has announced the addition of two full-time assistant directors for the 2010-11 academic year. Melissa Jordan '06, currently part of the Multicultural Center staff, and Lauren Flinn begin their duties in August.

More than 50 alumni joined several faculty and staff April 20 for a mixer hosted by the Charlotte Alumni Chapter. President Leo M. Lambert and coaches Matt Matheny (men's basketball) and Pete Lembo (football) were among the Elon representatives making the trip down Interstate 85 to enjoy a beautiful evening, good food and great company on the patio at Sullivan's Steakhouse.

Musician Chris Hendricks ’07 prepares for summer tour, album release

In June, musician Chris Hendricks '07 will hit the road as part of the Life and Faith Tour, a two-month tour featuring some of the nation's biggest contemporary Christan artists, including Amy Grant, Shenandoah and Hawk Nelson. He was profiled in an article published in the Sunday, May 16 issue of The Chapel Hill News.
Elon softball captures SoCon championship, heads to NCAA Tournament

The Phoenix overcame a 2-1 deficit with five runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat UNC-Greensboro and capture its first Southern Conference tournament title, 6-3, in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Friday, May 14. Elon will face the host University of Georgia Bulldogs in the Athens Regional of the 2010 NCAA Softball Tourament on Friday, May 21.
