Rudd, LePors, and Tennant discussed librarians as partners in first-year student success

Ruelle, dean of the Carol Grotnes Belk Library and associate professor, has been selected for the 2020 UCLA Library Senior Fellows Program.

The presentations shared the speakers’ experiences with building partner collaborations and high-impact practices with attendees of the 2019 Louisiana Virtual Academic Library Conference.

The grant will support the adaptation of an open textbook for use in the Gateway to Business course.

Assistant Provost Peter Felten and Dean Joan Ruelle collaborate on an essay about the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) as professional development in academic libraries.

Akman will be the liaison librarian to the departments/programs of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Exercise Science, Geographic Information System, Neuroscience, and Public Health, and the School of Health Sciences’ Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies programs.
