Statistics professors Laura Taylor and Kirsten Doehler attended the Women in Statistics conference in Cary, NC.  Statistics major Erin Donahue ‘15 and alumni Jessica Roycroft ‘13 and Jaime Speiser '10 were also in attendance.

Laura Taylor, assistant professor of statistics, co-authors invited article in Lifetime Data Analysis on “Nonparametric estimation with recurrent competing risks data”. 

Rising-senior statistics major, Amy Zemanick, has been accepted into the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Summer Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF). 

The two assistant professors co-authored an article with Jessalyn Smith of CTB/McGraw Hill on the use of statistics across all disciplines in the Journal of Statistics Education

Assistant Professors of Statistics Laura Taylor and Kirstie Doehler attended the 7th Annual UNCG Regioinal Mathematics and Statistics conference on Nov. 5 with students Ted Berkowitz and Kileigh Browning. Senior statistics major Ted Berkowitz presented a talk on “A Comparison of Methods to Compute Confidence Intervals for Proportions.”
