ELON HILLEL is hosting an information session for students Interested in a Fake Break trip to West Palm Beach, Florida, working with Habitat for Humanity . This Fake Break, join Jewish students in warm, sunny Florida to explore the relationship between social justice and Judaism, help repair houses, and change some lives while creating lifelong memories with new friends!

Elon University is one of dozens of university campuses hosting a Global Hunger Shabbat on Friday, November 2, as part of a national initiative organized by American Jewish World Service. Elon Hillel's Global Shabbat dinner will be held at 6:00pm in Moseley 215.

"Jews and Hip Hop Music" is this week's topic for "Ginn and Jews" a weekly program of eclectic Jewish topics hosted by Ginny Vellani, the Elon Hillel Development and Jewish Life Associate. The program will be on Monday October 22 from 7:30-8:30pm

Elon Hillel built a Sukkah in front of Colonnades D as part of the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The small booth is a tradition during the Festival of Sukkot.

Students, faculty, staff, their families and community members are invited to join Elon Hillel to observe the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, which begins on Tuesday evening, September 25, and ends at sundown on Wednesday, September 26.

Marlene Appley, whose Jewish family survived Hitler’s invasion of their home village in the Ore Mountains of Czechoslovakia , will share her life story as part of Elon’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Week programs. Ms. Appley will speak on Tuesday, April 17, at 5:30pm in KOBC 346.

The Jewish holiday of Passover begins on Friday evening, April 6. Elon Hillel is hosting a Passover Seder that evening, from 6:00-7:30pm in Oaks 212.

Olivia Feldman ’12 has been selected as one of only two Americans to participate in the Bundestag Youth Encounter Program as a guest of the German government. The program will be held in Berlin Jan. 22 – 27.
