In the July 24 edition of the Triad Business Journal, Andy Haile, Assistant Professor at Elon University School of Law, cautions against the N.C. General Assembly's tax compromise to finalize the state budget. After the article went to press, Governor Perdue threatened to veto the tax plan.

Elon Law Leadership Fellows selected

Twelve members of the Class of 2012 have been selected as Elon University School of Law's first Leadership Fellows. The fellows were chosen for having demonstrated exceptional leadership in community, collegiate, military, or other service, and for expressing interest in further study of leadership in relation to the law.

On Thursday, August 27, there will be a brown bag lunch from 12:10-12:50 in Room 206 of the law school, with Elon Law's Distinguished Jurist in Residence, Justice James G. Exum, Jr., discussing effective ways of briefing cases, an important skill which he has used throughout his professional career.
