Pamela Winfield compiled, edited, and wrote the Contributing Editor's Introduction to a specially-themed issue of Cross Currents Journal on “Religion in Asia Today”, vol. 61 no. 3 (Sept. 2011) pp. 286-421.

Assistant professor Pamela Winfield has published an article titled "Mandala As Metropolis" in Esoteric Buddhism and the Tantras in East Asia.

Pamela Winfield convened a panel and presented a paper on Jan. 15 at UNC Chapel Hill as part of the Association of Asian Studies southeastern regional conference.

Pamela Winfield, assistant professor of religious studies, served as a respondent to a panel on "Virtual Asian Sacred Space: Hidden Lands, Ritual Practices and Soteriological Technologies" at the American Academy of Religion (AAR) Annual Conference in Atlanta on Nov. 1.

Pamela Winfield published a full-length review article entitled "State of the Fields: Recent Contributions to Japanese Art History and Religious Studies" for the peer-reviewed journal Religious Studies Review vol. 36 no. 3 (September 2010).

New Religious Studies faculty member Amy Allocco joins her departmental colleague, Pamela Winfield, in a major professional leadership role as co-chairs of the Religions of Asia section of the annual regional conference co-sponsored by the American Academy of Religion and the Southeastern Conference for the Study of Religion.

Pamela Winfield was named to the Board of Directors of the Association of Religion and Intellectual Life (ARIL) this summer. This is the governing board that has ultimate responsibility for all the activity of ARIL, which includes the publication of CrossCurrents journal, an annual summer research colloquium in New York as well as occasional programs made possible by additional fund raising activity.
