Going Global: Program in London expands perspectives of Elon employees

Elon supported a group of 20 staff members to participate in a transformative global experience during the Faculty Staff London Program 2024. They brought home new relationships and shared experiences that will enhance the student global experiences at Elon across multiple Elon departments.

The authors of the book, which recounts the horrific shooting at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., and its aftermath, will lead a discussion in McCrary Theatre. The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 9 but was postponed due to the threat of severe weather.

"Co-Teaching in Teacher Education: Centering Equity" examines teacher preparation programs that have successfully used a co-teaching model to improve the clinical experience for teacher candidates and to instill a disposition for equitable practice. The volume challenges teacher preparation programs to prepare educators to work together to support all students in today's diverse classrooms.

Liam Dupas ’26, Aaron Chan ’26 and Julien Dupas ’26 received a 2023 Broadcast Education Association (BEA) Award of Excellence for their micro documentary, “The Inspirational Story of Finn Curran-Ng’asi.” The project explores Curran-Ng’asi’s journey from gaming, vaping, smoking and generally unhealthy habits to transforming his life through calisthenics and weight training.
Elon entrepreneurship professors win top research awards
