Associate Professor of Religious Studies Toddie Peters co-edited a volume on undergraduate research titled "Teaching Undergraduate Research in Religious Studies," which offers an introduction to the philosophy and practice of undergraduate research in religious studies and takes up several significant ongoing questions related to it.

Rebecca Todd Peters, department chair and associate professor of religious studies, is offering a plenary address at Davidson College's Conference on Reformed Theology and Ethics, which takes place March 14-16.

Rebecca Todd Peters, professor of religious studies, presented a paper titled “Examining the Value of Solidarity as a Moral Foundation for Poverty Alleviation” at the fifth-annual Jepson Colloquium in Richmond, Va. The colloquium was sponsored by the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond and this year’s theme of “Leadership and Global Justice” was designed as an interdisciplinary discussion examining the philosophical, moral, economic, environmental and political dimensions of justice beyond national borders with attention to organized efforts to move toward such a reality.

Toddie Peters, associate professor and chair of the religious studies department, presented a keynote address titled "Accounting for Difference: Rethinking Global Markets in a Postcolonial World" at the Societas Ethica Conference in Frankfurt, Germany, on Saturday, Aug. 21.

Professor Rebecca Todd Peters presented a keynote address titled, "Conflict and Solidarity Ethics: Difficult Conversations on Economics, Religion, and Culture" on June 6 to the College Theology Society in Portland, OR.
