Students and faculty members of the School of Communications participated in the 22nd annual Spring Undergraduate Research Forum, spending the day sharing their scholarship with the Elon community.

The broadcast journalism graduate and White House video director returned to campus on April 23, visiting with classes and students before being honored at the School of Communications’ annual awards ceremony.

The School of Communications instructor directed and produced an award-winning documentary that highlights the issue of bird poaching in Europe. Following this month’s U.S. theatrical premiere in New York City, the film will be screened in other select cities across the country.

Elon University’s student-run strategic communications agency and the Greensboro-based content marketing firm hosted an April 21 educational session and networking event in the McEwen Communications Building.

The long-time Merck & Co. executive and New York University professor will help facilitate the corporate communications emphasis of Elon University’s new M.S. in Management, which begins in fall 2015.

While attending the four-day Durham festival, students in Elon University’s documentary production program screened films from around the world, attended filmmaker events and panels, and met award-winning documentarians.

Fifteen board members and guests, including chair Michael Radutzky of “60 Minutes,” were in attendance April 10 to hear about the future of the School of Communications and to share their professional insight with students and faculty.

Christian Binder ’13, Mariah Czap ’13 and Al Drago ’15 discussed their careers working as freelancers and how they established themselves in the communications field.
