Sophie Adamson, associate professor of French and chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures, presented at the annual conference of the Foreign Language Association of Teachers of French in Durham, N.C.

Buffie Longmier-Avital, associate professor of psychology, spoke about her jounrey through graduate school to a position as associate professor while being a woman of color. 

Elaine Bradley, drummer and singer in the rock band Neon Trees, will be speaking with students in the Music Production and Recording Arts Program during her visit Nov. 5-7.

Joyce Davis, professor of exercise science, presented at the International Association for Dance Science and Medicine Conference. 

Kupatadze, senior lecturer in Spanish, in collaboration with a colleague from Aarhus University in Denmark, delivered a presentation at ISSoTL in Norway titled “Inclusivity in Academia: Perspectives, Experiences and Roles of International Teaching Faculty”

Lauren Kearns, professor of dance and chair of the Department of Performing Arts, was invited to guest teach in Ireland and present in Finland. 

Scott Morrison, assistant professor of education, and Jeffrey Carpenter, associate professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program, recently authored several research and practitioner-focused articles.

Buffie Longmire-Avital, associate professor of psychology, presented findings from her current research exploring the identity development of emerging adult black gay men and how this and other psychosocial factors are related to partner preferences and sexual health behaviors on Oct. 24.
