The research of Elon University Department of Physics students and faculty was presented at the 227th American Astronomical Society meeting in Kissimmee, Florida, January 4-8.
 

The assistant professor of education and director of the Teaching Fellows program co-authored the article in the journal Kappa Delta Pi Record.

The professor of music had two articles published in the professional saxophone journal.

Honors Fellow and Lumen Scholar Peter Jakes '17, alumna Robin French '15, associate professor Alan Russell and A.L. Hook assistant professor Chad Awtrey published a research paper in the inaugural issue of the Minnesota Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics.

The assistant professor of communications examines socio-technical initiatives designed to promote citizen participation and collaborative problem solving in city governance.

Catherine Bush, adjunct assistant professor of biology, along with two former undergraduate research students (Brandi Griffin and Joshua Steele; Valdosta State University), a former M.S. graduate student (Elizabeth Mercer; Valdosta State University) and Katherine R. Goodrich, a flower-scent specialist from Widener University, published a research article in the current issue of the Journal of the Torrey Botanical Society.

The professor of music had an article and a CD review published in the professional trumpet journal.

Elon Law Professor Hannah Vaughan, director of the Law School’s Elder Law Clinic, authored “Falling On Deaf Ears: Lawyers’ Obligation to Provide Sign Language Interpreters for Deaf Clients.” Vaughan’s article appears in the December issue of Gray Matters, a publication of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Elder and Special Needs Law Section. 

Elon Law Professor Antonette Barilla proposed measures for law school educators to maximize millennial students’ learning and achievement at the New England Consortium of Academic Support Professionals Conference.
