Jon Metzger, associate professor of music, has completed a new CD recording with the John Brown Jazz Orchestra for a future release on Brown Boulevard Records.

An op-ed essay by Rosemary Haskell, professor of English, titled "'Life' On the Home Front, Then and Now," appeared in the Raleigh News and Observer on Saturday, Dec. 24th.

Evan A. Gatti, assistant professor of art in the Department of Art & Art History, will participate in the roundtable discussion, "More Than a Medievalist: Teaching the General While Writing the Specific," at the International Congress on Medieval Studies, May 12-15. The Congress is held annually at the University of Western Michigan in Kalamazoo and attracts over 3,000 scholars in medieval studies.

Thomas Erdmann, professor of music, had three 6,000 word articles featured on the cover of the January/February 2012 issue of Saxophone Journal.

Dave Gammon, assistant professor of biology; Jen Platania, associate professor of economics; Susan Manring, associate professor of management; and environmental studies major David Munoz published a peer-reviewed guest editorial in the December 2011 issue of the journal Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment.
