Thomas Erdmann, profesor of music, had three 6,000-word articles featured on the cover of the September/October 2012 issue of Saxophone Journal. They are on The Rippingtons and chart-topping Los Angeles based saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa, University of Illinois saxophone and music professor J. Michael Holmes, and University of South Florida saxophone and music professor Jack Wilkins.

Assistant Professor of Mathematics Chad Awtrey presented two talks at MathFest, the national meeting of the Mathematical Association of America, in Madison, WI., on Aug. 1-4, 2012.
