Pericles sabbatical benefits international arts charity

Kathryn Wheet ’04 helps students receive a worldly education as an international programs advisor at Elon, but for two weeks in July, she brought the world home to children in her native Maryland as a volunteer with the nonprofit World Artists Experiences through a university service sabbatical with Project Pericles.
Terrell Hudgins ’10 honored prior to Family Weekend football game

Former Elon Phoenix football standout receiver Terrell Hudgins was honored with the retirement of his jersey prior to Elon’s October 2 game. Standing at mid-field, Hudgins received a framed jersey from Dave Blank, director of athletics. The crowd responded with a standing ovation in recognition of Hudgins' football achievements.

For Burney Jennings '87, president and CEO of the North Carolina-based Biscuitville restaurant chain, it's those qualities - and in that order - that have made the company founded by his father, Maurice Jennings '57, such a success. The younger Jennings shared his family's story with a crowded LaRose Digital Theatre on Sept. 15, 2010, in the annual Legends of Business program sponsored by the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
Elon to retire #19 jersey of Terrell Hudgins on Family Weekend

Former Elon Phoenix football standout receiver Terrell Hudgins will be honored with the retirement of his jersey prior to Elon’s October 2 game against the Samford Bulldogs. The ceremony will take place on the field before the scheduled 1:30 p.m. Family Weekend kickoff.

In an effort to share relevant, career development information with students and alumni, Career Services has created the “Career Stories” interactive tool. The tool allows viewers to watch interviews of Elon alumni, parents and students discussing common career development issues such as choosing a major, participating in experiential activities, networking and answering difficult interview questions.
