School of Education Dean Ann Bullock was among eight new members announced this week for the group that advises and designs programming for teacher education programs. 

Student Andrew Jones served as an usher and Assistant Professor Mary Kay Hannah served as an elected delegate from the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association at the American Physical Therapy Association's 74th House of Delegates in Orlando last week.

Her co-authored study received a 3 Top Faculty Paper Award in the Public Diplomacy Interest Group.

The grant from Penn State's Arthur W. Page Center will assist her study of how fake health news flows and competes with real news on social media.

The nonprofit organization presented its Bill Vestal Chairman's Award this week to Tammy Cobb, assistant director for community partnerships in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement. 

Derek Lackaff, associate professor of communications and associate director for the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, will join the Department of Information Science and Media Studies at the University of Bergen for the 2018-19 academic year.

Kristen Mazur will serve as the Section Lecturer for the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America for the 2018-2019 academic year.

 

'Dr. Chevalier’s Lie.' a film directed by Artemis Preeshl, is one of 75 films selected as an Official Entry to the Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival, the 'Summer Sundance.'

Davis is recognized for his impressive contributions as assistant director of campus technology, as well as his role as solutions architect.

Serving in her last year as faculty director for the Oaks Neighborhood, Julie Justice, assistant professor of education, received the Faculty Engagement Award during the Residence Life End-of-Year Banquet on May 2.
