A lecturer in communications and faculty director of Live Oak Communications, Vincent has aimed to engage with the community through helping local organizations with strategic communications work.

The Alternative Breaks Program in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement offered the mid-March experience to introduce students to social issues that impact communities in the United States and around the world.

The award from the United Way of Alamance County was offered in recognition of the university's dedication to the local community. 

Through the Elon Buddies program, Elon students work with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them gain connections.

Walker Helms ’19, a political science major who double minored in sport and event management and leadership studies, from Radford, Virginia will transition to Wake Forest School of Law this fall and credits the Student Professional Development Center with supporting him throughout the admissions process.

Elon students joined President Connie Ledoux Book and other community leaders on Wednesday to kick off the annual Women Build, an effort by local women to fund and build a new Habitat for Humanity home. 

The house on Hampton Court is the 167th built by Habitat for Humanity of Alamance County
