Maker Takeover is the Maker Hub’s largest annual celebration that brings students, staff and faculty together to showcase their creative projects, including made-from-scratch musical instruments, custom designed clothing and furniture, and much more.

Students experienced a visit to Greensboro on April 6, 2024 with an opportunity to learn about the history and culture of African American life in North Carolina and an opportunity to enjoy food, dancing, and music at the NC Korean Festival.

Students experienced the Big Apple from April 8-10, 2024, with visits to more than a dozen corporate headquarters, an eclipse viewing, and an opportunity to catch a Yankees game.

The 135,000-square-foot center will be a hub for health and well-being within the university’s Innovation Quad and is scheduled to open in summer 2026.
