As a first-generation college student, Chris Baker G’88 of Burlington, North Carolina, understands the importance of providing scholarships for Elon students.

Longtime Elon supporters Thomas E. and Lynn B. Chandler along with new Parents Council chairs Paul and Mindee Blanco advance a university initiative to build scholarships and enhance the campus experience for visitors.

The 5,100-seat, 160,000-square-foot facility will provide a premier gathering space for major campus events and serve as the new home for Elon's basketball and volleyball programs when it opens this year.

This year saw 78 percent of Elon University employees make gifts to the institution in support of student scholarships, athletics programs and more. 

Christopher P. Martin ’78 P’13, an Elon alumnus, trustee and parent from Tinton Falls, New Jersey, is one of the university's most loyal and generous benefactors. His recent gift will provide funding for scholarships and other key priorities in the future.
