Brant Touchette, along with Elon undergraduates Mariana Poole '10 and Mica McCullough '10, Gracen Smith '09 and Emily Adams '11, presented a paper at the 22nd International Conference of The Coastal Society in Wilmington, N.C.

Associate professor Jeffrey Coker has been named the next director of Elon’s General Studies Program and will observe and assist the current director, professor Janet Warman, during 2010-11 before assuming full duties in the fall of 2011.

David Vandermast, an assistant professor of biology and environmental studies, was elected chair of the Southeastern Chapter of the Ecological Society of America this week at the Association of Southeastern Biologists annual meeting in Asheville, N.C.

Kathy Gallucci presented her paper, "Ethnobotany in Samoa," at the Kampong in Coconut Grove, Fla., on Feb. 13, 2010, at the Annual Meeting of the Fellows of the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG).
