The test of the outdoor alarm and emergency alert systems by Elon Campus Safety and Police will take place at 10 a.m. and will last about three minutes.

The practice drill with local and county officials was designed to help the university test its response to a campus emergency.

A simulated accident will be part of an emergency exercise planned for South Campus on Wednesday morning.

A one-block section of Williamson Avenue will be closed for paving during the last weekend in July.
