During its annual President’s Reception on May 7, the Elon Academy recognized the class of Rho scholars who will be graduating from high school this spring.

The Elon Academy has existed for nearly 20 years and now a new team is working to invigorate the college access and success program’s legacy of helping students reach their full potential.

More than 23 campus departments and organizations participated in this year’s event, promoting various student success, research and academic opportunities available to students.

This year, the NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education annual conference included accolades for Elon staff, recognizing a class of 2025 Pillar of the Profession recipient, the runner-up for the 2025 Hardee Dissertation of the Year Award, and several conference presentations.

A TikTok comment enabled Yadira Fernandez Delgado ’25 to earn an internship at Dream Studio DTLA, allowing her to complement her business education with hands-on creative practice.

The Success and Opportunities Expo will feature a range of academic opportunities designed to support student engagement and learning at Elon University, and any applicable financial awards and incentives.

Elle Collins currently guides the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida and will join Elon University in April as executive director of a campus office that helps students from all backgrounds thrive in higher education.
