Alamance County high school students were introduced to the campus community in the 8th annual College Coffee held in honor of the Elon Academy.

A literacy program created by Associate Professor Jean Rattigan-Rohr received $2,500 to help purchase new books for young children tutored by Elon University education majors.

Scholars were recognized for making the President's or Dean's List, for being honored at the Black Excellence Awards program in April, for completing internships, for studying abroad and for participating in the Spring Undergraduate Research Forum.

Alamance County students taking part in Elon University's college access and success program gathered May 14, 2014, to hear words of wisdom from academy leaders and alumni as they prepare to graduate high school.

An effort to showcase both the university's Community Garden and heirloom plants grown by Elon students proved popular, as did delicious strawberry treats.

The final Friday of classes this spring features an opportunity for members of the campus community to enjoy strawberry shortcake, ice cream and other light refreshments at the Elon Community Garden.
