The Isabella Cannon Leadership Fellows Class of 2014 traveled to sites in Chicago and Cleveland to learn hands on about community development and community organizing as a part of the winter term class entitled Community Empowerment taught by Professor Patrick Harman.

Previous internship placements helped an Elon University junior use the Office of Career Services to land a summer position with Google.

Leadership for Lunch is an opportunity for student leaders to enhance their leadership skills and gain insight from other students while enjoying a free catered lunch from Aramark.

The workshop intention is to provide a foundation for understanding the social phenomenon called “bystander behavior.”

All participants of the workshop are asked to have attended the “Response Ability Introduction” workshop in order to engage one another in active dialogue led by peers.

Topics to be covered include but are not limited to: identity development, privilege/oppression, prejudice, discrimination, and stereotypes.
