Civic Engagement

The initiative led by the Bringing Theory to Practice project is supported by an $800,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

The program, facilitated by the Stennis Center for Public Leadership and the nonprofit Former Members of Congress, brings former federal legislators to college campuses to discuss public service.

The Election Night Watch Event is one of a variety of efforts to encourage civic engagement across campus. 

Elon Votes! is sponsoring rides to the polls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from the Center for the Arts and an Election Night Watch Event at 8 p.m. in the Moseley Center on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Elon University hosted the First Amendment Free Food Festival Sept. 26, which visualized Americans' rights in a fun way.

The annual summer news update panel discussion will be held Aug. 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in McKinnon Hall.
