The Elon community will gather to watch the State of the Union address on Tuesday, March 1 at 9 p.m. in the LaRose Student Commons.

Directly aligning with the university Boldly Elon strategic plan, events are planned for students to play a role in civic engagement and civil discourse.

Elon students cast ballots at a rate higher than the national average during the 2020 elections and were significantly more engaged in the election than they were four years before.

The Active Citizens Series event, held Sept. 15, touched on aspects of ethics, history and critical thinking.

This effort supports the work of Sarvodaya in an island-wide plan to promote local agriculture and increase food security and family income.

The Alamance County Board of Elections is hosting one-stop early voting this fall for the Burlington primary and municipal elections.
