The Society of Professional Journalists named Elon University’s student chapter the SPJ Region 2 chapter of the year. Elon’s organization was one of 10 nationwide that were also recognized.

Interactive Media graduate places third in contest to redesign food label

Interactive Media graduate Bradley Mu G’11 recently placed third in a contest sponsored by the University of California-Berkeley School of Journalism that asked participants to redesign and improve the nutritional food label. His entry, along with the first and second place winners, was featured in the Well blog on the New York Times website.

In her Media Writing class a couple of semester ago, rising senior Katie O’Brien wrote a mini biography that discussed, among other things, her career aspirations. If someone could be both profoundly certain and surprisingly unsure of her future at the same time, it was O’Brien.

The Elon in Los Angeles program entered its fourth summer when the program began in early June. This year, 39 students traveled west to live, take classes and do internships in the entertainment capital of the world. Students from several different majors are interning at various locations throughout the city.
