Elon alum's award-winning film opens in theaters

A critically acclaimed film produced by Laith al-Majali '05 is now being screened in limited release across the United States with shows opening later this week in New York City and, by mid September, in Washington, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia and Minneapolis.

Linda Misiura was trained formally as a writer, but the design/multimedia skills she's acquired to this point in her life are self-taught. So while she joins Elon's new Interactive Media master's program with some communications experience already, she's also hoping to augment the technical side of her resume.

Elon University Launches New Interactive Media Master’s Program

Elon University launched its one-year, full-time Interactive Media master's program Aug. 3 and welcomed 37 students into the inaugural class. Coursework began Aug. 4 with a three-week Digital Media Workshop before the start of the fall semester.

Powell Construction Update: Week Six

The new M.A. in Interactive Media program began this summer with Media Writing, Media Law and Ethics and Digital Media Convergence workshops before the start of the regular fall semester. The program will be housed on the second floor of Powell, which is being renovated this summer.

Brooke Barnett, Jessica Gisclair and George Padgett, all associate professors in the School of Communications, received a $5,000 grant from the McCormick Foundation to build First Amendment awareness on campus this fall.
