Elon students ask NBC to interrupt the Super Bowl

Students who worked the front lines during Wilmington, North Carolina’s early switch to digital television are asking NBC president Jeff Zucker to interrupt the Super Bowl with a 30-second message from the Federal Communications Commission in the lead up to the nationwide transition on February 17, 2009.

Tony Weaver appointed to panel for NACMA

Tony Weaver, an assistant professor of leisure and sport management, has been appointed to the Professors Panel for the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA). 

Two Communications Students Win BEA Scholarship

Sunshine Center’s Harrison to be Panelist for Daylong Seminar

A four-member faculty of academics and attorneys will conduct a seminar titled "What You Need to Know About Public Records and Open Meetings in North Carolina" Nov. 20 in Raleigh. Lorman Education Services is offering the daylong seminar for continuing education credit. Sunshine Center Assistant Director Dale Harrison will serve on the faculty, conducting a session titled “Sunshine Legislation in North Carolina: Current Conditions and a Forecast for the Future.”
