Two student representatives and the adviser of The Pendulum, Elon University’s weekly student newspaper, attended the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Advisers fall convention in Kansas City, Mo., where they were awarded third place by the ACP for their online story package covering the 2008 election.

The Sunshine Center reached out Oct. 21 to the coast of Carolina with its fall 2008 workshop titled, “North Carolina Sunshine Laws from the Capitol Building to the Courtroom.” Speakers explored key developments in the North Carolina General Assembly, including a bill to explore televising state government.
