It's time for the monthly School of Communications faculty meeting.

The Imagining the Internet Center at Elon University is partnering with the Greensboro News & Record to invite people to share their personal stories in print and online about how the World Wide Web has transformed their lives.

The School of Communications welcomes its 2008 class of Journalism and Communications Fellows.

Alumnae Katrina Taylor and Rachell Williams had their documentary, “Green Hair, Grey Hair,” placed on the re:frame Web site, an Internet resource and outlet for independent and alternative filmmakers to promote their work.

Internetnews.com carried a story on a new report released by the Imagining the Internet Center in the School of Communications in partnership with the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

Six new faculty and staff members with strong and varied professional and educational backgrounds have joined the ranks in the School of Communications starting in Fall 2008.

Associate professor Jessica Gisclair delivered her Faculty Research and Development sabbatical research presentation Aug. 27 on intellectual property piracy and copyright both domestically and in China.

The video interviews conducted at the OECD Future of the Internet Economy ministerial conference by Elon University students Ashley Barnas and Craig Campbell and assistant professor Dr. Glenn Scott are now online.

He spends much of his day on Facebook. Truly not a revelation, considering senior Bobby Hoppey is a college student, thus part of a demographic that lives on social media networks.

Janna Anderson, associate professor of communications, is featured in a new online podcast interview with Aaron Strout of Mzinga. Strout is the VP of New Media for Mzinga, a white-label social networks provider based in the Boston area who's known for his interviews with technology experts. The podcast is posted on his "We Are Smarter Than Me" Podcasts site.
