The journalism major will serve as a member of the Society of Professional Journalists’ Student Trustee Council, a group of students from across the country working to strengthen the organization.

The Charlotte journalist is making extensive efforts to ensure vaccination appointments don’t go unfilled and doses don’t go unused.

The psychology major, minoring in sport management and coaching, collaborated with the assistant professor of sport management to investigate how the pro-environmental initiatives of college athletic departments influence the psychological responses of consumers.

Elon University students captured 12 awards in the Southeast Colloquium Creative Contest, a creative competition for members of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and Broadcast Education Association (BEA).

The initiative, made possible through $300,000 in grant funding from the Scripps Howard Foundation, will support journalism in diverse and underserved communities, educating high school juniors and seniors from North Carolina and surrounding areas who are interested in pursuing careers in journalism and the media industry.

During the 2021 AEJMC Southeast Colloquium, Meg Boericke ’20, G’21 discussed her in-progress research on how to take advantage of the video-sharing platform’s interactivity and combine it with established norms to better pre-professional and professional streamers' practices.

The concert offered with the support of the School of Communications, Division of Student Life and the Music Production and Recording Arts Department will feature Eliza Spear '22 performing original works with a backing band composed of fellow students.
