Rebecca Berube '12 will spend 2014-2015 enhancing environmental awareness in Panama through the Princeton in Latin America program.

Crowds visited the Elon Community Garden behind the Sklut Hillel Center on Oct. 25 as an environmental studies course and Elon Hillel celebrated the season with food, face painting, photos and gobs of gourds.

The afternoon event features an array of strawberry treats and vegetable plants for sale cultivated by students in a spring course.

Funding will help Alamance County high school scholars learn more about healthy eating while engaging them in scientific pursuits.

The National Wildlife Federation has designated a vegetable garden near the Academic Village as a certified wildlife habitat.
