The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation named Elon University a recipient of its 2023 Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement.

The $4,000 Community Partnership Initiative Grant not only helped students at Eastlawn Elementary School in Burlington, North Carolina, expand their school's garden, but it also helped teach valuable lessons.

Katharine Fredricksen '15 is spending the 2015-16 academic year teaching English in Austria on a program funded by the Austrian federal government.

Though parents of preschoolers focus more of their efforts on teaching children how to read, two Elon University seniors found that you don’t have to be a wizard with numbers to create in young people a love for math and science.

Cherrel Miller Dyce, assistant professor of education and faculty fellow for the Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education, presented a program model for mentoring black males at The Association for Social and Behavioral Scientist, Inc. 80th Annual Conference in Fayetteville, N.C., March 18-22, 2015.

Mary Knight-McKenna, Associate Professor of Education, and Heidi Hollingsworth, Assistant Professor of Education, presented at the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) 2014 Conference.

Driven by a desire to bridge the education gap, the early childhood education major and Spanish minor works with children of all ages throughout the community to help pave the way to their future successes in school.
