Sam Slaughter, a 2009 graduate and former English major, is publishing two works.

Peter Lindstrom ’94, Julie Dyke Ford ’95 and Christopher Nave ’04 received the 2015 Elon College Distinguished Alumni Awards during a special April 30 ceremony.

Eric Ashley Hairston, associate professor of English and director of the Center for Law and Humanities, recently lectured at the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities on his continuing research into the interdisciplinary connection between classical studies and African American literature.  His first book on the subject was recently named a Choice Outstanding Academic Title.

The professor of English and education has two poems in the Main Street Rag anthology Crossing Lines.

Emily Cinquemani and Allison Ginsburg were finalists in NC State's Poetry Contest 

Cassandra Kircher's essay, "No More to the Lake," was published in the most recent issue (Volume 80.2) of North Dakota Quarterly. 

Associate Professor Prudence Layne worked with Peter F. Lake of Sheffield Hallam University on "Global Innovation of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Transgressing Boundaries."

Visions Magazine is seeking student submissions for its 2014-2015 publication.
