President Connie Ledoux Book shared with the university community about the unexpected loss of Monte Markley, a community service officer with Campus Safety and Police, on Saturday, May 18.

The new center for children will offer care and early childhood development for infants, toddlers and two-year-olds of Elon faculty, staff and students and will be managed by child care provider Vivvi.

The collaboration will allow Elon to make additional progress toward its goal of being carbon neutral by 2037.

The university's annual greenhouse gas emissions inventory showcases its ongoing commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction efforts.

Elon supported a group of 20 staff members to participate in a transformative global experience during the Faculty Staff London Program 2024. They brought home new relationships and shared experiences that will enhance the student global experiences at Elon across multiple Elon departments.

Moore, who has more than 17 years of experience at Elon, will oversee facilities management, sustainability and planning, design and construction at the university.

Elon University recognizes the 19 staff members who are retiring after years of dedicated service to the campus community.

The international business honor society recognized top-performing students during a May 2 induction ceremony featuring a keynote address by Christopher Craige, an executive-in-residence for the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, and award presentations to two faculty members.

At the annual Faculty/Staff Awards Luncheon on May 10, the Elon community honored faculty and staff members who are retiring this year.

Fulkerson, assistant vice president for administrative services, was honored by NACAS South with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual conference.
