German Studies

This is the last testing time offered for the fall semester.  Testing for students who missed the Oct. 1 deadline of their first year will be available again on Monday, February 1 (the day before the start of spring semester).

Katharine Fredricksen '15 is spending the 2015-16 academic year teaching English in Austria on a program funded by the Austrian federal government. 

The language placement exam will be offered for new students only during specific dates and times.  Sign up at least 24 hours in advance. 

Two Elon students recently earned high marks on the Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch, an internationally-recognized Business German exam.

Ben Kaiser '16 and Alyssa Romano '16 will conduct science research at German universities this summer.

A proctor will be available in Carlton 221 during certain hours on Saturday and Sunday, April 18 & 19.

On Wednesday, April 8, from 12-4 p.m., faculty members from the Department of World Languages and Cultures and representatives from the Global Education Center will be available in the Moseley Open Kitchen to answer student and faculty questions about language majors and minors, regional studies programs and global engagement opportunities.

Kelly Swaim ’17, recipient of the Miriam and Abe Brenner Holocaust Education Scholarship, traveled to Europe during Winter Term 2015 as part of Elon’s "Holocaust Journey" study abroad course.

The highest-ranking German government official to ever visit campus spoke with Elon University students on Wednesday in a program sponsored by the Business German Speaker Series and the Student Professional Development Center.
