“Pinch Hit for Haiti” tops $12,000 for Red Cross

The "Pinch Hit for Haiti" effort spearheaded by Elon senior catcher Mike Melillo has seen a total of $12,004 donated to the Red Cross toward relief efforts in the island nation ravaged by a 7.0 earthquake.

New web page shares information on Haitian relief efforts

Elon University has created a new web page for the campus community to share news and information on outreach efforts following the January 12, 2010, earthquake that killed more than 100,000 people in Haiti. The page, www.elon.edu/haiti, lists fundraising events, updates and awareness campaigns sponsored by student organizations, classes and individuals at the university.
