Christopher, an assistant professor of physical therapy, received the award at the American Physical Therapy Combined Sections Meeting.

The Elon University Board of Trustees met on Feb. 24 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.

The Janet M. Cope Scholarship in Physical Therapy will go toward Elon Physical Therapy students who have displayed honorable character during their time in the program.

Jacqueline DeBrew's abstract "Help Us Become Nurses: Making a Difference in the Lives of People in Poverty" was accepted as a podium presentation at the 2023 Association of Community Health Nurse Educators/Association of Public Health Nurses joint conference in San Diego, California.

Elon’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Physician Assistant Studies program welcomed new classes of students following a highly selective admissions process. The three-year, full-time DPT Program enrolled 46 students, and the 24-month, full-time PA Program enrolled 38 students.

The funding will allow the HOPE Clinic to complete approximately 140 additional patient visits in 2023.

The pair are the first legacy father-son students of Elon's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Fourteen students who have become the first to complete Elon's Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) degree speak on the transformative experience in the program.
