A human service studies course has received national recognition from Learning By Giving Foundation and additional funding for class projects.

Guatemalan graduate student Marco Saz visited Elon University to immerse himself culturally in the United States and share his expertise on education with youth at risk with Elon students, faculty and staff.

In a partnership with Elon's community partner Crossroads and with the support of an Elon's Kermode Center Community Partnership Initiative grant, a Human Service Studies Department professor and her students presented a film series on sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking in the United States, as part of an ongoing community outreach program addressing these critical global issues locally.

The statewide coalition of colleges and universities also recognized an Elon student with its Community Impact Award for leadership and service. 

Elon faculty joins a diverse community of scholars promoting community health. The capacity-building activity was organized by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's New Connection program in Denver at the end of October 2016.

Leadership scholars gather as a cohort for workshops and seminars designed to focus on issues related to leadership pedagogy. 

The second annual Undergraduate Public Health Research Collaboration was held at Elon on Friday, Sept. 23, and brought together students and faculty from Elon, Davidson College and Furman University. 

Professor Carmen Monico's work in Guatemala was funded through a Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award. 

Alumni are invited to share stories, see our new facilities and reconnect with old friends during Homecoming weekend

The grant will allow the associate professor of education to work with two Elon professors on finding strategies that are helpful, culturally relevant and easy for families to use to foster their infant's language development.
